MRU is a composure of the initials of its founder, Marco Ruocco. However, it is also an acronym that stands for: "Meta Research Unit".

The term "Meta" refers to the conceptual search for aspects of knowledge that are fundamentally shared by all things. "Meta" calls for a higher level of understanding of our world, a level in which forces shaping the present can be perceived directly and addressed accordingly.

MRU as a concept is an instrument dedicated to the understanding of the challenges of our technological world. It also constitutes a reference structure for professional growth and a source of orientation in this perilous world.

We have our own invariant vision about the changing characteristics of the technological world. The latter is seen by us as a target of our efforts as well as a metaphor of access to other higher-priority objectives: development of skill and knowledge, conceptual understanding of reality and definition of long term perspectives.

MRU is a conceptual support in the quest for "Meta" and its ultimate aim is to help the understanding of how "Meta" shapes our world at large.
