MRU has installed a weather station in Central Italy in order to have first hand access to weather data and to the practice of weather monitoring. Access to source data is of panamount importance in a world of environmental hype and academic research drawing from obscure sources. MRU also believes that there is more than a practical gain in comparing directly experienced weather with actual weather statistics.

As the data will be progressively collected, it will posted with appropriate analysis on this web page, alongside with field observations.

Our weather station choice has fallen on the Davis VantagePro2, equipped with a system of automated hardware/software logging of data via a wireless connection.
