Earth Asylum and
Planetary Asylum [2007] - 10+10 minutes
Made for a short
course offered by MRU about the Earth and the Planets [see details],
the movies utilize state-of-the-art
software and data, and a very short time frame for their making.
Earth Asylum employs
topographical data obtained from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission,
and it also visualizes the Como and Garda Lakes in Northern Italy with
visual continuity.
Planetary Asylum shows
instead unusual perspectives of the surface of Mars, Venus and The
Moon, obtained from real-world data from NASA sources.
