Numenore [1996] - 10 minutes

The Land of Gift, and of the Betrayal of Gods by Men. Finalist animation at BitMovie96, Riccione (Italy).

Based on Tolkien's historical-epic book "The Silmarillion", it shows the rise and downfall of the island of Numenore, first blessed and then sunk to the depths of the Western ocean by the Valar.

The movie is a multimedia composure of landscape animation (based on original fantasy cartography, see picture) and supporting titles and music.

Software: World Construction Set v1.1, SCALA MM, ImageFX. Rendering and real-time playback on Amiga (68030).
